A memorial service for Weinberg junior Alyssa Weaver will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Alice Millar Chapel, said University Chaplain Timothy Stevens in an email announcement.
Weaver’s friends from Chi Omega, the Cultural and Community Studies Residential College, the Boxing Club and the Brady Scholars Program, are organizing the service, the email said. All are invited to attend, and a reception will be held afterward in the Guild Lounge in Scott Hall.
Speakers at the gathering will include Associated Student Government President Victor Shao, a Weinberg senior.
Weaver committed suicide Nov. 21 while studying abroad in London at Goldsmiths College, which is part of the University of London. At NU, she was studying chemistry and art history, according to her Facebook page.
