Alan Krueger, President Barack Obama’s chief economic adviser, will speak on campus next week.
Northwestern announced this morning that Krueger will deliver the 2012 Institute for Policy Research’s Distinguished Policy Lecture at 4 p.m. Monday in the McCormick Auditorium of Norris University Center.
Krueger’s address is free and open to the public. The University is requiring attendees to register at http://www.ipr.
Krueger previously served as chief economist at the departments of treasury and labor.
“Krueger has made path-breaking contributions on many public policy research fronts,” said David Figlio, director of the Institute for Policy Research, in a news release. “He is one of the most distinguished scholars of his generation.”
This story has been updated to reflect new information from the University about the venue for Krueger’s speech.
