Burglar takes three mountain bikes

Someone broke into an Evanston couple’s garage in the 1800 block of Asbury Avenue on Friday night, said Perry Polinski, a spokesman for the Evanston Police Department.

The burglar entered the garage through a broken window and took three mountain bikes, Polinski said. There are currently no known suspects.

Shoplifter steals items from Target

A woman stole several items Monday evening from Target, 2209 Howard Street.

She took baby bottles and infant formula. Polinski said the total value of the stolen items was around $30.

A Target employee reported the shoplifter to police, Polinski said.
