Fight erupts between 2 disabled Pace passengers
A female Skokie resident received a cut lip Friday after a man attacked her while both were in a Pace vehicle.
A Pace employee pulled over in the 500 block of Sheridan Road and called 911 after seeing a male passenger strike the Skokie woman “several times in the face,” said Evanston Police Department spokesman Cmdr. Jay Parrott.
Both the man and the woman have disabilities, Parrott said, and were probably riding in a Pace van that specifically handles disabled passengers.
The woman went to a hospital for treatment and no arrests were made.
Evanston man arrested at Haven Middle School
A 34-year-old Evanston resident was arrested Friday at Haven Middle School, 2417 Prairie Ave., and charged with trespassing on school property.
Plainclothes officers saw the man looking into a classroom window and attempting to take photos with his cellphone, Parrott said.
“There was a concern for school safety but we believe it was an isolated incident,” Parrott said.
Parrott said the man was charged with trespassing on school property, a misdemeanor.
