The cab driver that was shot in south Evanston early Sunday morning remains in critical condition.
Police responded to the 500 block of Elmwood Ave. at about 2 a.m. Sunday in reference to a cab that struck another car.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the cab driver inside the vehicle, with a bullet wound to his head. Evanston fire department took him to St. Francis Hospital, 355 Ridge Ave.
The name of the driver is still unknown, pending notification of next of kin. He works for Best Taxi Service.
