A man brandished a handgun and tied up a Diadem Jewelers employee before cleaning out the store’s display case Tuesday night, according to an Evanston Police Department press release.

EPD officials released security tapes and still images of the offender yesterday morning. The robber, who escaped on foot, was described as a 6-foot-tall, 30-year-old black male weighing approximately 250 lbs.
