Suspicious man evades UP in Tech
Police responded to Technological Institute, 2145 Sheridan Road, Friday morning after receiving a report of a suspicious person in the building, University Police Deputy Chief Dan McAleer said.
A staff member arrived for work around 8:15 a.m. and turned on the overhead light in her lab area. Once the light was on, she observed a man standing in the room several feet away from her. The subject did not talk to her, and the woman ran out of the room and called police, McAleer said.
The woman told police that she had previously seen the man and believed that he had been contracted to paint the building earlier this year. After canvassing the area, police were unable to find the subject.
