Students caught with cannabis in dorm room in Bobb Hall
Two students were issued tickets for unlawful possession of cannabis on Saturday, police said.
At approximately 1 a.m. police responded to Bobb Hall, 2305 Sheridan Road., after a Community Assistant making rounds reported the smell of burning cannabis on the second floor, University Police Deputy Chief Dan McAleer said.
Neither of the students lived in the room. Upon making contact with the resident of the room, police discovered the student was aware of what was happening.
All three students have been referred to Student Affairs.
Intoxicated student sent to hospital Saturday after a trip to the Keg
Police took an intoxicated student to the hospital Saturday after a Community Service Officer reported the student, police said.
The student arrived at Shepard Residential College, 626 University Place, at 1:20 a.m. after leaving the Keg of Evanston, 810 Grove St., McAleer said.
Police then called the Evanston fire department and escorted the student to North Shore Hospital.
Vehicle strikes underground parking lot door
A facilities manager of McManus Living-Learning Center, the graduate housing building on 1725 Orrington Ave., reported damaged property Sunday afternoon after an unknown vehicle struck the door of the underground parking lot, McAleer said. Police responded at approximately 4 p.m.
There are no leads.
