Chanks but no Chanks. Chet Hanks, or “Haze” as he goes by now, released his new single yesterday, “White and Purple (Northwestern Remix).” This song uses the beat from “Black and Yellow” by Wiz Khalifa which another Northwestern student remixed a few months ago into the original “White and Purple.”
Gawker and Perez Hilton have picked up the sophomore rapper’s song. Haze tweeted three hours ago, “a lot of people are wondering if i only do remixes…might have to release an original real soon….”
