A burglar entered an Evanston home on the 2300 block of Orrington Ave. and took a laptop Saturday night, police said.
A resident left the doors to the house open while walking the family’s dog, Evanston Police Cmdr. Tom Guenther said. Upon returning, the resident discovered a laptop computer was missing from the downstairs family room, Guenther said.
The resident’s son, who owned the laptop, was upstairs in the house while the resident was gone.
