A woman was arrested Thursday and charged with stealing money from the bank where she works, police said.
An investigations manager at the TCF Bank, 1128 Chicago Ave., noticed accounting discrepancies during previous weeks.
He decided to do a surprise audit on Oct. 10 with one of the tellers, Evanston Police Department Cmdr. Tom Guenther said. He found that $3,000 has been missing from the cash drawers since December of last year and called EPD. Police then conducted further investigation and arrested the teller, Bryn Tanner.
Tanner was charged with theft.
