Families can eat pizza while listening to – or performing – karaoke and slam poetry Saturday night at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center.
The center, at 1655 Foster St., encourages people of all ages to “Bring your best singing voice and most slammin’ poem ’cause it’s gonna be a down-right-groovy thing!” according to the City of Evanston website. The event will last from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Admission will cost $5 per family, and a slice of pizza and a soft drink will cost $1.50 per person. For more information, call (847) 448-8254 and ask for the Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre.
