Leigh Bienen, Northwestern University School of Law senior lecturer and wife of University President Emeritus Henry Bienen, released a book of essays on the death penalty entitled “Murder and Its Consequences: Essays on Capital Punishment in America.” Bienen has spent more than 30 years researching capital punishment and teaches in the area of social science, criminal law and juries, according to the Northwestern Law website.
