My name is Meredith Wise, and I’m a junior in Weinberg. I’m majoring in English literature, but I’m pre-med so that I can get a job one day. I like to think I’m a perfect mix of work and play, loud and quiet, classy and ridiculous. I grew up in Lubbock, a normal-sized city (even though you haven’t heard of it), in West Texas. I didn’t have to change much upon coming to Northwestern, as my family is one of a few secret liberal holdouts in this land of George W. Bush.
I love my involvement in Zeta Tau Alpha, Dance Marathon and Greek Intervarsity. I’m a firm believer in three-day weekends, dessert and let-loose dancing. I hope that by being a columnist, I can bring my thoughts about the cringing, coping and celebrating involved in Northwestern student life away from the dinner table and into your hands.
