A Northwestern staff member was assaulted and robbed near NU’s downtown Chicago campus Wednesday afternoon, according to police and the university.
The attacker, described as about 16-year-old man, apparently pushed the staff member to the ground and took his iPhone at about 2:15 p.m., according to a “campus advisory” posted on Northwestern’s website Wednesday evening.
The attacker did not display a weapon and the staff member was not injured, according to the alert. The staff member chased the attacker but could not catch him.
The incident occurred in the 600 block of McClurg Court in Chicago.
