ASB winter trips go all over US, world

For some, the work doesn’t end with their last final; post-exams a group of socially-conscious students will embark on a weeklong volunteer initiative with Alternative Student Break.

Northwestern students will travel to one of seven volunteer sites this Winter Break, working on local social issues in sites as close as Wisconsin or as far as Guatemala.

“It’s a great year to be involved with the program,” said Paul Boye, a Weinberg senior and ASB co-program director. Boye said this winter’s student break in Guatemala marks the program’s first trip abroad.
