First came Thelma and Louise. Then Batman and Robin, Bonnie and Clyde, and now Kat and Claire. Sit & Spin Productions is about give the term “dynamic duo” a whole new meaning in their latest production, “The Real Kat and Claire: An Unscripted Two Woman Show.”
Making up said twosome are Communication junior Kat Palardy and Communication sophomore Claire Neumann, who will be improvising the show around characters and ideas they’ve come up with. And with a tagline that describes the show as “two female human beings on stage finding solutions,” almost anything goes.
“They have characters and situations but there is no script or set progression of events,” says Communication sophomore and production manager Sarah Grace Welbourn. “It will just be Kat, Claire, several tambourines and a lot of baked goods on stage for an hour.”
“Basically, it’s a comedy show between two women, in which we play a lot of characters and comment on America’s nonsense justifications for its actions,” Neumann says. “We just love to be on stage making people laugh and being crazy.”
