I don’t understand why people don’t dance more at concerts. Most of the active bands I like are indie bands – but at every concert I go to I am surrounded by unmoving, emotionless hipsters who show their appreciation for a song by slightly nodding their head, tapping their foot, or on the rarest occasions, maybe singing along. I don’t understand why people don’t dance more at concerts.
This is because most people who listen to indie music are socially awkward people who probably never really learned how to dance. But rock ‘n’ roll isn’t just about dancing; it’s about shaking, jumping, screaming and finding a moment in a song that makes you want to celebrate the end of the world.
