The message was clear when the television camera roamed into the student section on Saturday: Northwestern’s community was ready to come together.
Students came out, 5,000 strong, adorned in a flood of purple to support the Wildcats. They jingled their marlocks as if they were sleigh bells. They clawed and roared, confident they were bigger and badder than the maize and blue engulfing three-quarters of the Ryan Field.
