A Northwestern graduate student’s car stereo was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked outside her apartment between late Monday night and Tuesday evening, according to the Evanston Police Department.
Lynne Horey, 24, said she told police she parked her car on the 1200 block of Elmwood Avenue at about 9 p.m. Monday night. When she returned Tuesday around 7 p.m., her car, a green 1996 Pontiac Grand Am, was vandalized, she said.
“I found my window smashed and the car stereo was missing,” said Horey, a first-year Communication graduate student. The woman said she did not see the burglary so she could not give police any information about the offender.
