Northwestern men’s basketball trainer Scott Barthlama stopped short of saying guard Evan Seacat would miss the remainder of the season with a concussion, but he said it is unclear when the sophomore will be cleared to play.
Seacat is recovering from a concussion he sustained in NU’s game against Penn State on Feb. 14
“Stuff like this you don’t want to rush, so we’re going to take our time,” Barthlama said. “We’re going to make sure he’s fine. If that happens before the end of the season, he’ll play. If it doesn’t before the end of the season, he’ll just be ready for next year.”
He added that doctors are taking extra precautions, since it is Seacat’s second concussion this season. He suffered the first while practicing with the team in October.
