Wildcats star running back Jason Wright spoke at the Big Ten Football Kickoff Luncheon last Thursday, delivering a speech focused on integrity and receiving a standing ovation following his message.
“Integrity is thrown around in college football all the time as a buzzword,” Wright said to the 1,500 fans in attendance, according to NU media services. “It speaks to the very essence of our sport.”
Wright followed by using “integrity” as an acronym to describe why players are so proud to participate in the Big Ten. “Intensity,” he said, “characterizes the student-athletes both on and off the field.” He followed by speaking of nobility, talent, and excellence, adding that “nothing characterizes the Big Ten more than excellence. Big Ten football continues to achieve at the highest level.”
