To provide more flexibility, Northwestern Dining Services has dished up changes such as meal equivalence and more dining facilities to make the 2003-04 meal plans easier for students to digest.
Still, prices have increased. The 16-meal-per-week plan, for example, rose from $3,425 last year to $3,640 for the coming year, according to the Dining Services Web site — an increase of 6.2 percent.
Meal equivalence on selected Block Plans will let students exchange a meal for credit at campus eateries, said Paul Komelasky district manager of SodexhoUSA Dining Services.
The Block Plan provides meals at dining halls and points used like credit at campus restaurants such as Willie’s Food Court in Norris University Center, Lisa’s Cafe and Tech Express.
