If you make the chocolate, they will come — and for 365 days, chocoholics have been pouring in. Now Marly Chocolates, a gourmet chocolate store and cafe at 527 Davis St., is celebrating its one-year anniversary with Chocolate Week, ending Sunday.
The week includes weekend entertainment by Northwestern musicians. Featured musicians include a classical guitarist, a bassoonist and vocalists.
“It’s all about chocolate,” owner Gail Robinson said. “What more could you want?”
The promise of chocolaty goodness in the form of freshly made truffles and sip-able sweets lures customers into the store.
“I’ve been received by tourists, Evanston residents, people who walk by and see the store and just come in,” Robinson said.
