Two students in Bobb Hall found a swastika Monday evening drawn on the whiteboard hanging from their door, the second such mark written on a door in the dormitory in a week.
Jared Brown, a McCormick sophomore, and Avi Feinberg, a Weinberg sophomore, said the swastika was drawn on the door of their third floor room between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m., when both were out. Both students are Jewish.
The students said they alerted University Police.
“Even though I felt personally attacked, this is a hate crime that affects every person on this campus,” Brown said.
Last Thursday, students found a swastika scratched into a third-floor staircase door in McCulloch Hall. Two day earlier, the words “nigger,” “bitch” and “slut” were scrawled on four doors in neighboring Ayers College of Commerce and Industry.
