New meal plan choices befuddle some students

A new meal plan system designed to give students more options has prompted a considerable amount of confusion among students living on campus as the academic year opens.

When the new plans were announced in February, students welcomed the 14 options, including unlimited dining and a dollar-for-dollar debit program known as Munch Money. But certain aspects, such as the removal of Flex plans that once allowed students to receive a meal equivalence at Norris University Center and other non-dining hall locations, have left new and returning students with questions.
