The men’s basketball game scheduled for this Saturday against Wisconsin has been canceled due to several members of the team contracting COVID-19, according to an email obtained by The Daily. 

Earlier this week, Big Ten officials also postponed an away game against Iowa that was planned for Wednesday night, as there were only six players available to be on the court due to COVID-19. That game has since been rescheduled for Jan. 31 in Iowa City.  

Officials have not officially rescheduled this Saturday’s game. 

In reaction to students being denied entry to previous basketball games, Northwestern’s Wildside marketing team recently announced a new student seating ticket process where students could request tickets through an online form. 

Saturday’s game would have been the first time this new process was used. 

The form was due to go online at noon today, but the website currently shows a “delay” when students attempt to log on.
