A 58 year-old Evanston man reported to the Evanston Police Department on Monday night that he heard the sound of a gunshot.

The man told EPD officers that he heard the sound of a shot in the 1600 block of Cleveland St., Evanston police Cmdr. Ryan Glew said. Responding officers checked the area but did not find bullets or anyone injured.

Police do not have any suspects at this time.

Shot fired reported in South Evanston

A citizen who refused to give their name called EPD on Monday night to report the sound of a gunshot.

Police responded to the call around 11:40 p.m. and checked the 600 block of Mulford St., Glew said. Responding officers did not find any bullets or anyone injured.
