Evanston police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at U.S. Bank, 1325 Howard St., on Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to reports of a robbery by a single male offender just after 3 p.m., police said. Police said the suspect entered the bank and showed a teller a note demanding money. He left with approximately $3,000 in cash, police said.

The suspect was not observed to be armed, police said, and no injuries were reported. Officers from the Federal Bureau of Investigation also arrived on the scene and are also investigating the case, Evanston police said.
