December 5, 2015
An Evanston teenager was robbed Friday night by two people armed with a handgun.
The 17-year-old boy was approached in the 1700 block of Ashland Avenue at about 7:40 p.m. by the two males, who took $320 in cash from him after displaying a silver handgun, said Evanston police Deputy Chief Jay Parrott. The robbers, one of whom the boy knew, are both between 17 and 18 years old, Parrott said.
Police believe the incident may have been drug-related, he said.
