Cheesie’s Evanston branch changes hours but has no plans to close

Despite rumors, the Evanston branch of Cheesie’s Pub & Grub will not be closing, Cheesie’s general manager Andrew Kyker said.
Cheesie’s, located at 622 Davis St., is now closed on Monday and Tuesday and has been that way for about a month, he said. Kyker said the rumor that the branch is closing may have arisen because of the recent hour changes.
The restaurant’s hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Cheesie’s is closed on Monday and Tuesday to optimize other times to make money, Kyker said.
The franchise also has a branch in Belmont, and an upcoming branch in Wicker Park.
