University Police arrested one person Tuesday morning in connection with alleged thefts from at least one Northwestern mailroom.

UP Deputy Chief Daniel McAleer said more information would be available in the next few days, including what crime the suspect has been charged with.

A message to undergraduate residents from Executive Director of Residential Services Paul Riel asked students to reach out to Detective Lieutenant Ron Godby if they suspect they have had mail stolen since October.

McAleer told The Daily the investigation is ongoing.

“At this time we are still seeking student victims from NU to sign criminal complaints in this matter,” he wrote Tuesday in an email to The Daily.
