Volunteers helped clean out a foreclosed Evanston property on May 31 that will become affordable housing. The Highland Park-based organization managing the home makeover, Community Partners for Affordable Housing, is renovating its third house in Evanston, CPAH executive director Rob Anthony said. The non-profit group has enough funding to work on ten more homes over the next year and a half in Evanston. CPAH uses a combination of volunteers and paid contractors to transform vacant or foreclosed properties into affordable housing units.
