Man, 27, stabbed in south Evanston

A 27-year-old man was stabbed Tuesday morning in south Evanston.

The man, an Evanston resident, was in a rear alley at about 11:20 a.m. in the 400 block of Ridge Avenue when he was stabbed in the arm by a person he knew, Evanston Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said.

The 27-year-old man is currently being treated for non-life threatening injuries at St. Francis Hospital, 355 Ridge Ave., police said.

Nobody is currently in custody in connection with the stabbing. The Evanston resident and the person who stabbed him have a mutual female friend, Parrott said. Detectives are investigating the incident.
