The Wildcats will begin their partnership with the Chicago Cubs under the lights at Wrigley Field.
Northwestern announced today its baseball game against Michigan on April 20 will start at 6:05 p.m. Tickets, which are $7 for both non-students and students, go on sale Friday.
“We’re so grateful to the entire Chicago Cubs organization for opening the doors to this historic venue and for allowing Chicago’s Big Ten Team to play a game at their beautiful facility,” NU baseball coach Paul Stevens said in a news release. “Whether you grew up in Chicago or California, if you’re a ballplayer, you’ve dreamt of one day playing at Wrigley Field, one of the iconic sporting venues in the world.”
The prime-time match-up is the first game to come from NU-Cubs agreement announced last month. As part of the deal, the Cats will showcase several teams at Wrigley Field in future years, including a lacrosse game in 2014 and five football games.
