Cheering on fellow students at First Pitch Night
The Student Alumni Partnership hosted the First Pitch Night this past Tuesday at Giordano’s. Communication sophomore Mollie Block, Communication junior Meghan Kasprzyk, Weinberg sophomore Annas Rahman and Weinberg sophomore Jeffery Arnier competed against each other and answered trivia questions to be chosen to throw the first pitch on May 17 at NU Day at Wrigley. The winner will be announced this weekend.
Celebrating the launch of Spoon Magazine’s website
Spoon Magazine, recently launched its website, NU-spoon.com. If you didn’t know about this magazine already, it’s the newest student-run magazine dedicated to food. To celebrate its launch, Spoon hosted a party at J.J Java, where for a $5 cover, people could get food, listen to live music and participate in fun events.
Participating in the GlobeMed Global Health Summit
The 2012 GlobeMed Global Health Summit was held this past weekend. More than 300 students from 46 different universities were in town for a weekend of lectures and workshops. The purpose of the summit is to further the movement for social justice and global health equity.
Heading to TI for “The Little Prince”
“The Little Prince” opened this past Friday under the direction of David Catlin. Missed it last weekend? Well, you can catch it this weekend, too. Tickets are $5 for Northwestern students who buy in advance and $10 at the door.
