This Weekend on Campus
Preparing to cheer on the Chicago Cubs
The Chicago Cubs opened their season against the Washington Nationals last Thursday. Although they lost the first two games of the series against the Nationals, they were able to win the final game of the series on Easter Sunday. Let’s hope this season is better than the last!
Sad to hear of Northwestern Baseball’s losses
While the Cubs took on the Nationals, Northwestern’s own baseball team took on Purdue at home this past weekend. Although they played very well, they were not able to defeat the Boilermakers and lost all three games of the series. Their next home game will be Tuesday, April 17 at 3 p.m.
Discussing KONY 2012
This past Monday, many NU students gathered together to participate in a panel discussion regarding social activism and Joseph Kony. It was jointly sponsored by NUCHR, African Students Association, Peace Project, NCDC, Inspire Media and Northwestern STAND. The nonprofit organization Invisible Children was also present to screen “Kony 2012: Part 2.”
Buying Dillo Day Vintage T-shirts
