Man held in home intruder investigation
An unknown male entered the bedroom of a 16-year-old girl while she slept early Thursday morning.
The man allegedly threw a blanket over the girl and grabbed her legs. The girl then screamed and alerted the other residents of the house. The intruder then fled the scene.
Before this incident was reported, a police patrol officer in the area observed a suspicious person running near Forest Street and Main Street. When the officer tried to stop the person for questioning, the man attempted to elude him.
The man was later found hiding in a bush in the 700 block of Forest Avenue and is being held as a person of interest in ongoing investigations of the home intruder call.
