Police responded to Ewing Avenue on Wednesday in reference to a disturbance on the street.
Officers spoke with a local landscaping employee who observed an unknown male jump in front of his truck and scream at him regarding his use of a leaf blower. During the argument, the man pounded his hands on the hood of the truck, causing visible dents, Evanston Police Cmdr. Tom Guenther said. Afterward, he fled the area.
The owner of the landscaping company told police he has recently been having issues with an unknown person in northwest Evanston regarding his employees’ use of leaf blowers.
