Northwestern students will get the chance to see indie act Best Coast perform at this year’s A&O Productions Spring Benefit.
The concert, which will be held May 8 at the southern point of the lakefill, was formerly known as the One Voice Benefit show.
“The view and the environment of the show is going to be spectacular,” said Elsa Stahura, Communication junior and A&O co-director of promotions & public relations.
Although the show is free, suggested donations will be asked for to raise money for next year’s Dance Marathon beneficiary.
According to Pitchfork magazine’s website, Best Coast is one of indie’s most promising new acts. Coast’s debut album, Crazy for You, was released in July 2010.
“The beauty of our spring programming is the diversity in music (A&O) brings,” Stahura said. “We are looking into the niche genres of music.”
