Northwestern’s Dolphin Show is swimming into a bigger tank.

Three members of the cast of this year’s show, “Ragtime,” will be performing on ABC 7 on Wednesday morning as part of the 11 a.m. newscast. In addition, the two directors of the show, Communication senior Julie Boor and Communication junior Lucas McMahon, will be interviewed by the anchors.

Getting onto the airwaves was a mission for the group this year, said Boor.

“We have a director of PR and one of her major goals this year was getting Dolphin on TV,” she said.

The three cast members were able to rehearse with the musical recording they would be using for the show on Tuesday night, but Boor admitted there was a chance the contingent was “maybe a little bit” nervous.

Boor said in her memory, the Dolphin Show hadn’t managed to have this type of showcase before, but that she hoped to have tangible results­: increased attendance from Chicago-area residents.

“We’re always trying to get new audiences into the show,” she said.
