Someone stole a television from a house on Monday, police said.

The suspect broke into a house on the 1800 block of Emerson Street through the back door on Monday morning and stole a 32-inch Sony Bravia television, Guenther said.

No other items seem to be missing at this point. Police are investigating the description of a man who knocked on the victim’s door a few hours earlier asking for a man named “Chris,” because that is the modus operandi of a known local criminal, Guenther said.
