Historian Pam Smith will present “Tracing Slavery and Slaveholding in the Family: an Evanstonian’s Story,” as part of the Evanston History Center’s Under the Buffalo Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Thursday. Smith will discuss her research into her own family’s history, which led to the discovery of a family that once enslaved her relative.
