Melissa Harris-Lacewell, a professor at Princeton and a regular contributor to MSNBC, will speak on campus Monday in the McCormick Tribune Center Forum at 5 p.m. Titled “Reading Michelle: The Gender Politics of Race in the Age of Obama,” the 2010 Allison Davis lecture honors Davis, the first African-American to receive tenure at a university other than a historically black university, according to a Northwestern news release. The event is free and open to the public.
