Medill assistant professor Rachel Mersey tackles the biggest question in media, “Can Journalism Be Saved?” in her new book of the same name. Her answer, she writes in the book’s preface, centers on how journalists today can evolve to meet Americans’ changing needs. Mersey began her work on the subject in 2004 at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her book is published by Praeger.
