Laptop, iPod stolen from dance center
Someone stole a Northwestern student’s laptop and iPod on Wednesday after she left them on a couch at the Marjorie Ward Marshall Dance Center, 10 Arts Circle Drive, police said.
The student put a bag containing her MacBook Pro and eight-gigabyte iPod Touch on the couch in the lobby and walked away at 2 p.m., University Police Deputy Chief Dan McAleer said. When she came back, the bag was still there, but the electronics were missing. The building was unlocked, so anyone could have taken the items, McAleer said.
The student provided police with a serial number for the MacBook but not for the iPod, McAleer said. Police entered the serial number into their computer system and are investigating.
