Alumnus calls repeatedly, leaves angry messages for Alumni Relations Office
A Northwestern alumnus called the Office of Alumni Relations and Development several times Monday and left profane and angry messages, police said.
In the messages, the man complained about the education he received at NU, said University Police Deputy Chief Dan McAleer. The man has not made any threats toward anyone at the University, but this is not the first time he has made these calls, McAleer said.
“It happens on and again,” McAleer said. “He’ll go for a day or two, then stop for months. He left three separate messages in the most recent incident.”
University officials are still investigating, and McAleer said they hope to reach out to the individual and ask him not to call in the future.
Student taken to Evanston Hospital after chest pains, problems with breathing
The Evanston fire department transported an NU student with chest pains to the hospital Monday, McAleer said.
The student was having trouble breathing when officials arrived about 5 p.m. at Annenberg Hall, 2120 Campus Drive, McAleer said. The student said he was being treated for a condition, McAleer said.
The fire department transported him to Evanston Hospital, 2650 Ridge Ave., for treatment and evaluation.
