On Wednesday night, THE DAILY’s Web site host, College Publisher, crashed because of a “malicious attack of intense traffic that corrupted a database (their) server uses.” We were unable to post new content to the Web site on Wednesday and Thursday nights, the stories you would normally see in Thursday’s and Friday’s print editions, respectively. College Publisher has resolved the problem and rebuilt our Web site, and we have since been able to load all of the new content.
You will notice, however, that some of our normal content is not on the Web site, including our archived stories. College Publisher is in the process of rebuilding this functionality. There’s no timetable for when this issue will be resolved, however we hope this happens by Monday.
We apologize for the inconvenience these technical problems may have caused you. Thank you for your patience.
