Blotter: Trek bike, credit card stolen; broken door at AT&T

NU student’s Trek bike stolen from KelloggA Northwestern student reported a stolen blue Trek bike worth more than $300 Monday morning, police said.The bicycle was stolen between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sept. 30 from the Donald P. Jacobs Center, 2001 Sheridan Road, said Dan McAleer, university police deputy chief.The student was able to provide a serial number for the Trek mountain bike, McAleer said.Credit card stolen from first-floor dorm roomA NU student reported a burglary Monday evening from his room at Ayers College of Commerce and Industry, 2324 Campus Drive, police said.The student reported that his Visa credit card was stolen from his first-floor room, McAleer said.The credit card was in the student’s wallet in a desk drawer when it was stolen between 9 p.m. and midnight Sunday.The student noticed the card was missing when he saw the contents of his wallet had been rearranged, McAleer said.Broken door at AT&T discovered early TuesdayA broken glass door was reported early Tuesday morning at AT&T, 1520 Chicago Ave., police said.An overnight store employee heard a noise at the front of the building and investigated, only to find the front glass door broken, Evanston Police Cmdr. Tom Guenther said.The employee found a baseball bat on the sidewalk outside but did not see a suspect, Guenther said.
