“Experience” and “following through” are the buzzwords for Nate Perkins’ campaign for Student Services Vice President.

As a member of the Student Services Committee, the McCormick junior worked with Students for Ecological and Environmental Development) to improve recycling on campus and eventually joined the NU Sustainability Working Group, which develops campus-wide sustainability policies.

“You can be on a committee and not really do anything, but Nate has done a lot,” said Sabina Ahuja, his campaign manager.

Among Perkins’ other proposed initiatives are campus-wide wireless Internet and improved safety on and off campus.

“One of the problems on Student Services is a stagnancy in the projects we’re working on,” Perkins said. “The experience I have has not only allowed me to have the resources to get my projects done, but also to go forward and make changes to ASG and Student Services as a whole and really bring it back to the students.”
